West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners are prepared to offload Pepe for £25million in the upcoming transfer window, according to The Express.
This would mean a staggering loss of £47million on a player Arsenal signed from French club LOSC Lille in 2019.
As for West Ham’s part in the rumour, manager David Moyes has called for his side to become European regulars after their run to the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League this term.
However, to do so the Hammers would need to add strength in depth to their squad, allowing them the chance to flourish across multiple competitions.
Bringing in Pepe could provide competition for the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma.
Pepe, after making a combined 89 appearances across all competitions in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, has only just passed the 20 appearance mark for this term, underlining how he has become sidelined at Arsenal under manager Mikel Arteta.
The 26-year-old, who has over 30 caps for the Ivorian national team to his name, has also represented Poitiers, Angers and US Orleans in his senior club career.
